Add the ingredients to your bin

Once all the tough materials are broken down, mix them thoroughly will the other ingredients and add them to your compost container. Take particular care with finer items such as grass cuttings which will tend to settle and exclude air.

As you fill the container, spread the ingredients out to the edges, firming down and watering as you go. Continue until the container is full.
